Mike Adenuga Foundation Donates N1.5b Towards the Fight Against COVID-19
Mike Adenuga Foundation (MAF) which was established by the business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., has has joined the multitude who are suporting the Nigerian government towards the fight against corona by donating the sum of N1.5 billion to the government to fight the global Coronavirus pandemic, otherwise known as COVID-19.
The money which was made up of N1billion to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) with is coordinating efforts to raise funds from corporate bodies to support the initiatives aimed at combating the COVID-19 in Nigeria, and N500 million to the Lagos State Government, which has recorded the majority of the cases of the pandemic.
However, Mrs. Bella Disu, the Executive Vice Chairman of Globacom, presented the N500 million cheque to the Lagos State Governor, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in Lagos yesterday, Monday, while a representative of the Foundation presented the cheque of N1 billion to the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele in Abuja.
In addition to the financial contributions, the Foundation also said it would continue its on-going efforts to assist various bodies and institutions in the country with the supply of essential items like Sanitizers, Masks, Test Kits, Personal Prospective Equipment (PPEs), Respirators and other necessary requirements to combat the pandemic.

Furthermore, as part of its own response to ensure the safety of Nigerians while the pandemic lasts, the Mike Adenuga Foundation advised all to take measures by the Nigerian government to ensure their safety in line with the guidelines provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO); which include regular hand washing and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, limiting non-essential travel and ensuring timely medical checkups.
